Using CubbyPad

CubbyPad is free. You may download it and use it on any Mac you own or control, for yourself or for work. Please don't sell it, or share changed copies of it under the CubbyPad name. Get it from this site, so you know it's the real one.

What it does on your Mac

CubbyPad arranges how your apps appear in its grid. It changes things outside that grid only when you ask: it can move apps and the files they left behind to the Trash, add apps to the Dock, and remap the F4 key while that option is on. It never deletes anything outright, so the Trash gives back what it moved. Keep backups of anything you can't lose, as with any software.

Other services

Some features rely on Apple: Apple Intelligence, speech recognition, iCloud Drive and Focus. Updates come from GitHub. Those services have their own terms, and they or a macOS update can change how a feature works. The trackpad pinch in particular uses a part of macOS that Apple doesn't document, so a macOS update could stop it working.

Updates

CubbyPad can update itself, and installs only updates signed with CubbyPad's own key. New versions may add, change or remove features. You can turn automatic checks off in Settings › General.

No warranty

CubbyPad is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We work to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of mistakes or will suit every Mac.

Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, CubbyPad's makers aren't responsible for indirect or unexpected losses from using it, such as lost data or time. Nothing here limits rights that the law where you live doesn't let us limit.

Names and trademarks

CubbyPad isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple. Launchpad, macOS, iCloud, Siri and Apple Intelligence are trademarks of Apple Inc. The app icons shown on this site belong to their makers.

Changes and stopping

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed. You can stop using CubbyPad at any time by deleting it (see Uninstalling).
